Offshore Ship Collided With Oil And Gas Platform

On April 9 Offshore support vessel SAFE SWIFT collided with oil platform SABRATHA PLATFORM

SAFE SWIFT sustained damages to her gear and upper deck mechanisms.

SABRATHA PLATFORM is a Libyan offshore oil field.

SABRATHA is considered to be one of the biggest Libyan Offshore Oil and Gas facilities, is fixed to the sea bed in a water depth of 190 meters.

Platform reportedly sustained slight damages.

Offshore support vessel SAFE SWIFT, IMO 8302894, GT 16562, built 1985, flag Bahamas, operator Prosafe Offshore LTD, UK.
Oil platform SABRATHA PLATFORM, MMSI 642115005.

This platform is located 110 km from Libyan coast in Bahr Essalam offshore field.
