PEOPLE FROM NEARBY CITIES, PROVINCES CAN STILL GO TO WORK IN METRO MANILA:AÑOMANILA - People from nearby cities and provinces employed in Metro Manilacan still go to work as they are considered as part of the Philippinecapital's population by day, Department of Interior and Local Government(DILG) Secretary Eduardo Año said Thursday.This after President Rodrigo Duterte announced a "community quarantine" inMetro Manila as travel—whether by land, sea, or domestic air—in and out ofthe National Capital Region will be prohibited starting Sunday, followingthe “sustained community transmission” of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).Año said workers just need to go through designated checkpoints, show theircompany ID as proof that they are working in Metro Manila, and followprecautionary measures such as hand sanitation and temperature check.The Department of Transportation will also issue a protocol for masstransportation in order to cater to workers outside Metro Manila, he added."Papayagan 'yong mga magtatrabaho na pumasok provided lang na mayroon langsilang ID.
