Semicon India 2023 Live Updates: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday inaugurated the second edition of the Semicon India event, with the 3-day event taking place in Gandhinagar, the capital of his native state of Gujarat.
In its debut edition, the event took place in Bengaluru from April 29-May 1, 2022.
‘India trusted because of our massive talent pool’
The semiconductor industry trusts India because of the country's ‘massive talent pool,’ PM Modi asserted at the event, adding that the India of the 21st century offers opportunities to everyone.
He also stressed that today, the country is moving on a path of development due to the nation's aspirations; the growing neo-middle class has become the powerhouse of national aspirations, the prime minister remarked.
“There has been an exponential growth in India's digital sector and electronic manufacturing…a few years ago, we were a rising player in this sector, and today, our share in global electronics manufacturing has increased several times,” Modi noted.
